Discover the correct and safe way to use the most essential of the treewright's tools: the axe.

 This extremely practical day takes you through treefelling, carving treen, hewing and tool maintenace. You will also discover the different ways different axes are suited to different jobs (including a chance to give axe throwing a go at the end of the day!).

This unique course will also talk about the evoluition of the tool, making sure you experience working with our ancestor's axes; from the Neolithic, Bronze Age, Iron Age and Early Medieval periods.
