Don’t miss the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the Dark Ages for an evening of outdoor performance at Butser Ancient Farm this September with Herigeas Hundas Saxon reenactment group.
All profits from this fundraising event will go to support our research and educational work in these very challenging times.
Enjoy fantastic fables and thrilling tales from storytellers as they spin the stories of the Norse myths and Saxon sagas, along with performances from the group's musicians using traditional instruments.
Join the warriors for a mead or an ale, see them in their finest clothing and listen to the sounds of our ancestors as you get lost in their midst and surround yourself with history.
Doors open at 6.45pm for the event to start at 7pm.
There will be a bar available serving mead, ales, soft drinks and snacks and this will be carefully managed to comply with social distancing and safety.
Please bring a torch and blankets/ low backed seating for this outdoor performance and dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
Tickets numbers are limited and we will be spacing the audience out in bubbles within our Iron Age enclosure to ensure appropriate social distancing between groups.
12th September 7pm – 9pm
