One Master of Metal
If you’re ready to join the special tribe of people who work with hot metal, Butser Ancient Farm has a great opportunity for 2018. The Master of Metal will combine six days of metal working, five workshops and four different metals over 2018. The workshops will develop traditional skills and techniques with copper, bronze, iron and silver to make a range of metal objects from a Bronze Age-style axe head to historic blacksmithing.
The Master of Metal package will save £100 over the five workshops.
Butser Ancient Farm is running a range of workshops over 2018 where visitors can immerse themselves in the ancient world and learn some of the crafts and techniques that our ancestors used to make everything they needed. This is a unique learning environment where visitors are surrounded by buildings from 5000 years’ of human history from the New Stone Age to the Saxon period.
Are you ready to become a Butser Ancient Farm Master of Metal? This is a very special opportunity to work with copper, bronze, iron and silver over five workshops during the summer of 2018. You will discover the tools and the techniques to work with these four metals with a group of dedicated tutors.
Individually the five workshops would usually cost £710, but if you enrol for the Master of Metal you will save £100, and only pay £610.
