Léine, a group of expert medieval crafters, will explore and demonstrate the skills of an early medieval homestead – especially Viking. Techniques used in Norse (Viking) clothing will be demonstrated such as spinning, sprang weaving and naalbinding – a craft somewhere between knotting and knitting used to make sturdy and comfortable socks and mittens). Also, tablet weaving, decorative trimming for clothing, and finger braiding.
