I am a research assistant at the German Archaeological Institute. Currently I am writing my PhD on “Ancient Near Eastern Amulets“ at Freie Universität Berlin (DE). Since several years I am giving workshops on gruitbeer and mead production at Museumsdorf Düppel.
We are a pottery center and part of our activities is dealing with replicas. We provide researches of ancient pottery techniques and use of the ceramic items. We are a nonprofit private institution.
Pottery Center Bahor, Institute for the Development and Promotion of Pottery - we have a unique place, an outdoor place where we build replicas prehistoric kilns. We work with students of Archeology Faculty of Ljubljana- to provide practice on ceramic themes. Our team uses the facilities to offering a wide diversity of courses on material culture, ancient technology, and experimental archaeology, but not only for adults- we have a lot of schools, pupils to work with.

The third historical reenactment festival "Arkaim Flame" is dedicated to the ancient history of the Southern Urals.The guests of the festival are shown the details of the life, crafts and military affairs of ancient times.
I am an archaeological scientist interested in ancient labour division in past and traditional societies. I study the impact on health of ancient crafting activities. I am particularly interested in 'dusty' crafts such (as pottery, pigments, dyes making, textile production).
My interest in experimental archaeology started at the age of seventeen when I entered the re-enactment world. It was at the meeting point of both my passions for archaeology and craft.

The first conference (ICA I) resulted in the foundations for a methodology, allowing experimental archeology to be a scientific research tool in its own right. Following these reflections, we hope that the participants, in their presentations and experiments, will also define and highlight the methodology they practice.
Due to the uncertain circumstances and evolving travel and gathering restrictions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic the conference will be held only online.

The actors of the "ijzertijdboerderij Dongen" visit the museum in Uelsen (DE) from August 3rd to 11th. A group of 16 will show how they lived and worked around 500 BC.
