The site Schwarzenbach-Burg in der Buckligen Welt is known between archaeologists since the 1920s. The excavations after 1992, coordinated by Wolfgang Neubauer, are a focal point for VIAS, the Vienna Institute of Archaeological Science. Here at Schwarzenbach an oppidum or Celtic reinforced settlement was built.

Na Farkách in Prague-Troja is situated on a terrace overlooking the river Vltava. Archaeological research (1966-1973) over a surface of 35 hectares revealed this area was inhabited all alnong form Neolithic until the Migration Period. Just on the northeast of the present site, you will find a former brick kiln – until the beginning of the 20th century, clay was extracted here, changing the geography dramatically.

In the 1st century BC and AD, the Iceni people lived in what we now call East Anglia. The Iceni were not conquered initially by the Romans when they invaded in 43 AD. Several uprisings against the Romans took place, the one most notable lead by Boudica in 60 or 61 AD. In the end the Romans won.

In 1909, at the initiative of the provincial Conservator of Historical Monuments Richard Dethlefsen an open-air museum was founded in the North-Eastern part of the Königsberger Zoo in Hufen just outside the city centre, called the Ostpreußisches Heimatmuseum.

The initiative for Gunnes Gård was taken by the Stockholms Läns Museum with the publication of a book about cultural areas in the region Upplands Väsby, in 1988. The Smedby Park was highlighted in the book as an interesting culture historical area. The park is an area for relaxation and walking, rich in ancient monuments from the Bronze Age, Iron Age and Viking Age (rune stones).
