As part of the Festival of Archaeology held each year by the Council for British Archaeology, we have a range of archaeological and outdoor activities for all the family to take part in. Learn how our ancestors lived with a range of hands-on activities. Last year our visitors made bread, bird feeders, wooden pendants, wove textiles, dug for artefacts, wattled fences, crushed chalk, tasted Roman cooking, watched blacksmiths at work, practised drumming, Stone Age painting and more… Watch this space to find out which activities will be available this year!
Standard entrance prices apply.
