Warriors and knights of the Middle Ages
This year, the Knights' Festival in the Düppel Museum Village will be a journey through the entire Middle Ages! Living-history groups present typical clothes and weapons of their time and present them in combat demonstrations.
The Early Middle Ages in Central and Eastern Europe are represented by the warriors from the Slawendorf Brandenburg, while the early medieval knights and everyday cultures of the western regions of Europe can be seen in the Salier encampment of the Franko-Flemish contingent. The High Middle Ages - the time when the historical Düppeler Slawendorf was founded - is brought to life by the "Brandenburgians". The Late Middle Ages, in which the typical paneling of the knights was created, is represented by the group "Osterländische Einung".
