Avé! The Romans will be coming to the preHistorisch Dorp from the 4th till the 5th of September. During this weekend, discover what life was like in the Netherlands in Roman times and learn all you can about the Romans.
Are you as smart as a Roman?
At the beginning of our calendar, the Romans came marching into our land. Initially they brought war, but they also introduced many extremely useful inventions.
During the Roman days at the preHistorisch Dorp, you will learn, amongst other things, how the Romans:
- Built perfectly straight roads
- Constructed arches
- Renewed the art of war
- Mastered the art of healing
- And much, much more…

Should you become hungry and thirsty from all your explorations and discoveries, then you can always visit our inn Den Bonten Os to eat and drink like a Roman.
Due to the corona restrictions, the Roman days will be somewhat different in 2021 than in previous years: there are a maximum number of tickets available. So only the quickest Romans will be sure to get in.
