Health and beauty are inextricably linked. People have known that for as long as they exist. This weekend Museumpark Archeon shows how people from prehistory to the 21st century deal with the care and well-being of their body.

Forging is of all times, before metal was used there was already a flint smith. Sharp objects such as knives, axes and adzes were made from flint. Later these objects were made of bronze and then of iron and steel.

Course target: we manufacture 3 soaps to take away

Course content: What is soap? How does soap work? What raw materials are used? And how is it handled correctly? Calculation of a soap recipe; Raw materials and their processing; Additives, fragrances, colors, herbs, tools; Script with simple soaps to imitate yourself

Course objective: Each participant carves a wooden spoon and a plate with simple hand tools such as an ax, carving knife and gouges.

Course objective: getting to know important medicinal herbs and making ointments and tinctures.

Forging a Lance or Spear Tip

Course objective: forging an iron lance or spearhead.

Course content: After an introduction to forging technology and the history of thrust and throwing weapons, each participant forges his own lance or spearhead historical model.

Bone and Antler Carving

Course objective: Each participant acquires knowledge and practical skills in bone and antler carving and, under professional guidance, produces an object of choice according to archaeological models using the technical possibilities of the past.

Course objective: Acquiring the necessary practical and theoretical basic knowledge to produce arrows in conformity with the rules for the archery category "historical bow" with wooden shaft and natural springs.

Course objective: Each participant goes home with a piece of leather they have tanned themselves.

Course content: scraping the rawhide in the frame, inserting it into a brain mass, pulling the rawhide dry to the leather, smoking the leather, tips for further processing
