I am an archaeological scientist interested in ancient labour division in past and traditional societies. I study the impact on health of ancient crafting activities. I am particularly interested in 'dusty' crafts such (as pottery, pigments, dyes making, textile production).
Did you ever wonder how you could make nice leather?
This course, taking place on two weekends, will teach participants to make effective bows from freshly harvested wood, from a hunter-gatherer perspective.
Arrow making and linen string making will also be seen, and all participants will leave with their ready-to-tiller bow with its linen fiber string, and a set of arrows.
Due to the uncertain circumstances and evolving travel and gathering restrictions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic the conference will be held only online.

The thirteenth edition of the Flint Knapping Symposium will take place this year. The practical annual conference in training and continuing education is dedicated to professionals in the field of flint knapping. The program will take place from May 29 to June 1, 2019 at the archeoParc in Val Senales valley, with work sessions planned as well as excursions to the surrounding area.
"Time travel" is our new series with three events, each focused on a different archaeological era. "Hunters, gatherers and farmers" is the time travel to the Stone Age. During this journey you will see how prehistoric hunter-gatherers obtained food and why they lived in temporary shelters.
