From 10.5. until 26.5. in the history park the stone meeting of the journeymen (Wandergesellen) will take place. The stone meeting has been around for about 25 years and supports every year another social project or association.
Coffee, chocolate, potatoes, tomatoes... This widely known and widespread products appeared in our menu relatively recently. When it exactly happened? In what way? And what did people eat in the past, for example 1.000, 3.000 or 6.000 years ago? You will get answers for these important questions during our new event "Taste of the Past".

Little Woodham is a re-created hamlet near Gosport, Hampshire (UK). It features houses and workshops set in the year 1642, just at the start of the English Civil War. It is peopled by volunteers dressed in period costume who illustrate the life and activities of ordinary village people at that time.

The processes involved in making iron/oak gall ink and quill pens will be demonstrated and practised during this course. Participants will be shown how to make ink monoprints. They will also examine the historical evidence for the use of quill and gall ink with references to further learning.
All participants will bring home a quill pen and a small bottle of gall ink.
