I became interested in EXARC activities during my MA with the University of Bradford, where I started looking more into the textile and cremation industries, particularly the role that smell performs within settlement archaeology. My present projects are currently looking at how Grubenhauser settlements are laid out, according to the smell of the industries, and undertaking urban comparisons. I am also looking at how different wood and plant smells contribute to the performance of death and memory.
