Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop & Farm is located in Olathe, KS, about 20 minutes southeast of downtown Kansas City. The original 1865 limestone historic house served as an official stagecoach stop on the Oregon, California, and Santa Fe trails until the train arrived in Olathe in 1869.

The grounds surrounding the historic house have been developed into a living history site with a working farm and blacksmith shop. Visitors begin by entering the Heritage Center to pay admission and view museum exhibits. Regular living history activities include blacksmith and cookstove demonstrations, house tours, and stagecoach rides. The site is home to a variety of heritage breed farm animals representative of the Mahaffies’ era. Additional farming activities vary with the seasons. Check the schedule at Mahaffie.org when planning a trip to the site.
