During the Archaeology Day we will hold exciting activities at Foteviken Viking Museum, with inspiration and deep dives into the Viking history for young and old alike. We will also offer guided tours of the Viking town.

Fotevikens Viking Market

The highlight of the year is as usual the Foteviken Viking Market. During these days roughly 500 Vikings from across the world will participate. As a visitor you may stroll around the Viking town and surroundings which is filled by activities and market stands. Here you may find items ranging from beautiful handmade jewellery to Viking Age style swords.

Living Viking Farm

Årsjögård is open as a "living Viking farm" during two weeks (w. 28-29). Wednesdays-Sundays from 11.00 to 16.00. There will be lots of things happening every day; crafts, games, storytelling, food and much more!
We end the two weeks with a small market at the farm on 22 & 23 July. Viking craftspeople will visit the farm and sell their goods, such as jewellery, pottery and ribbons.

Autumn Viking Market

Autumn time is market time in Haithabu. Just like 1000 years ago, on the first weekend in November, dealers from near and far arrive in the former trading metropolis to sell their wares. The museum visitors are once again expecting an atmospheric trade fair experience, as the dealers are setting up their stalls in the exhibition rooms directly in front of the showcases with the original finds.
