In the early 1970s, at the mountain Kulm in the Steiermark, traces of Celtic habitation were found which were excavated in 1977 and 1987. The association “Gesellschaft für Vor- und Frühgeschichte Kulm” was founded by teachers fond of local cultural heritage, in order to protect the archaeological remains and communicate about them.

1960 a Bronze Age settlement, a rectangular fortified site, was discovered on a Pleistocene terrace near the river Ščavnica. The site was named Gradišče. In the early 1980s,the western part was excavated by the Murska Sobota Regional Museum.

The 50th anniversary of „Lions Club Willisau“ in the municipality of Wauwil, near Luzern needed to be marked with a landmark celebration and an interesting and useful project. The village Wauwil counts about 1600 inhabitants. In 2002, at the Wauwiler moor, a bird watch tower was built thanks to a large investment of time and money of the Lions Club.

It is well located, away from the city but not too far and surrounded by a forest like park adjacent to the beach. The 18th century Manor House of Moesgård is also home to an important archaeological and ethnographic museum. The permanent exhibition presents many unique archaeological finds from prehistoric Denmark.
