Plimoth Plantation is a living museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA, that re-creates the original settlement of Plymouth Colony established in 1620 by the English Colonists, known as Pilgrims. The 17th-Century English Village consists of Pilgrim houses and outbuildings built in front of the public using traditional timberframing technology, and is staffed by interpreters playing the roles of colonists who lived in Plymouth in 1627.

Open March - November.

Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop & Farm is located in Olathe, KS, about 20 minutes southeast of downtown Kansas City. The original 1865 limestone historic house served as an official stagecoach stop on the Oregon, California, and Santa Fe trails until the train arrived in Olathe in 1869.

Old Shawnee Town is an outdoor museum recreating a Kansas prairie town dating from the 1840s to the early 1920s. The site features seven original and twelve replica buildings, two gardens, and three structures providing support services for operation of the site. Each building is furnished with artifacts dating roughly from that period. Owned and operated by the City of Shawnee, Kansas, as a division of the Parks & Recreation Department.
