I have recently submitted my PhD thesis in partnership with the University of Exeter and the University of Reading. My research investigates the evidence, use and performance of stone-tipped spear technologies among Neanderthal populations in the European Middle Palaeolithic. My expertise involves technological and use-wear analysis of stone tools as well as the replication of prehistoric weapons and technologies. Since 2009 I have collaborated with several Internation Institutions undertaking experimental activities, excavations, and stone tools analysis from several Paleolithic sites. I am currently interested to develop experimental protocols and research in advancing understanding of human evolution and prehistoric hunter-gatherer groups.
