We know much too little about that because clothes do not remain conserved in the soil for such a long time. We can presume however, the Neanderthal used this what they had to their disposal to pull on. These were skins and furs of animals they hunted. Wool and other textiles were still unknown.

Welche Kleider haben die Neandertaler getragen (CH)?
Darüber wissen wir leider sehr wenig, da sich Kleidung über eine so lange Zeitspanne im Boden nicht erhalten kann. Wir können jedoch davon ausgehen, dass die Neandertaler das zum Anziehen gebraucht haben, was ihnen zur Verfügung stand, also Felle und Leder von Tieren, die sie gejagt haben. Wolle oder andere Textilien kannten sie noch nicht.
