I am an assistant professor of anthropology at the State University of New York at Potsdam, USA. My research includes examining human/environmental interactions in the ancient past. Often I use experimental archaeology as part of my research methodology.

With more than 30 years in higher education, public archaeology, and cultural resource management, my primary interests lie in maritime archaeology and historical archaeology.

My historical interpretation activities give people space and time to step outside their everyday lives and experience serious learning in a fun and informal atmosphere. I work professionally with Museums, Schools and with volunteer re-enactment groups.

BA (hons) Archaeology, MSc Osteology, Paleopathology & Funerary Archaeology, FHEA.

I specialise in Early Medieval/Viking archaeology and in the anthropology of death. My PhD thesis, completed in 2009, examined the impact of migration on Norse identities in the North Atlantic through funerary remains.

I started experiments with the construction of coracles and other boats about twenty years ago.

Tim Clerbaut (° Ekeren, 1988) is an academic assistant in Provincial Roman Archaeology at Ghent University.  He studied archaeology at Ghent University, where he obtained a master degree in Geoarchaeology and Archaeology of North West Europe.

I am an avid practitioner of traditional living skills and primitive technology of all kinds and have followed this interest into the academic field of Experimental Archaeology, in which I hold an MA in Experimental Archaeology and a PhD on the ‘Microscopic Analysis of Prehistoric Tanning Technol

I am an archaeologist working at the National History Museum of Latvia archaeology department since 2007, also a member of the Association of the Archaeologists of Latvia. I am also working on different projects as a self-employed field archaeologist.
