EXARC recently joined a science based HORIZON2020 application (EU). It is about advanced 3D modelling by means of a semantic-aware system for accessing and understanding cultural heritage based on a cloud platform. The merits for EXARC are the clear link with intangible heritage and (re)construction. EXARCs role would be in dissemination, networking and keeping the network alive after the project has ended. Several EXARC members will serve as pilot sites where the 3D modelling tool will be tried out. Equally important is to see how how the public responds. We will hear Early Spring 2015 if our application was successful.
