Over the year 2007, a workgroup counting four members of EXARC prepared a new constitution. Over 2008, this has been discussed in great detail by the board - the results of which are planned to be put in place in 2009. Not only will EXARC have a stronger constitution, some changes will also be made, like opening EXARC up to individual membership. The new constitution has been brought in tune with ICOM regulations and the ICOM code of ethics.
For 2009, the board also prepared a framework of plans and a budget to go with it. Part of that is a strategy to meet some of ICOM's requirements. All this was open for discussion at the EXARC Annual General Meeting in Italy, March 28.
