The Celtic settlement ISARNO is located in Letovicích in a former quarry. The name is derived from an old Celtic name for iron. The association behind it wanted to create a realistic presentation of a Celtic village, including buildings, crafts, and even the lives of two thousand years ago.

At the site of a former clay extraction site, in 1999-2000, a small “model” medieval village was built. The fictional village Tulezim (the name is derived from a fairy tale) transports the visitor back to the 14th / 15th century and shows the life, architecture and habits of those days.

Just south of Cardiff you will find the town of Penarth. In the 1970s the local council decided to create a country park out of a former quarry and landfill site just outside of Penarth in area that was marked on old maps as being called Cosmeston.
