I am a Phd student of the Charles University, Prague. My current Phd research deals with technological innovations involved in pottery production during the European Iron Age, inquiring both the material aspects of production and the social role of craftspeople.

I am a medieval historian, researching, publishing and teaching on aspects of medieval military culture.

I have twenty years' experience as a guide in museums and heritage sites, including the Roman Baths in Bath and Goodrich Castle in Herefordshire.

I'm an archaeologist and a postgraduate student at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano specializing in Early Medieval Archaeology and Landscape Archaeology; I'm particularly interested in longobard material culture and I have a long experience in archaeological excavations.

My name is Ronja Lau, I studied prehistoric archaeology at the Freie Universität Berlin and since my Bachelor degree I'm dealing with textile archaeology and experiments concerning textile research.

I have been studying and training in a range of Asian and European traditional martial arts for over 20 years. I run a number of medieval martial combat clubs (looking at combat as a martial art and not a sport) and also interested in earlier period combat of the Greeks and Romans.

Since the early '90s of the last century I've been a re-enactor of both the Viking period, and of WW2. In my Viking persona I show kids and their parents what kit a warrior would have, such as a mail shirt, helmet, shield and sword and what the cost of such equipement would be.

I started doing re-enactment in 2005, quickly getting involved in keeping other reenactors feed.

Master's student in Archaeology at Cardiff University, specialising in British Prehistory and experimental/experiential archaeology.  I am doing my dissertation on the use of experiential and experimental archaeology in studying prehistoric societies under the supervision of Ian Dennis.
