My historical interpretation activities give people space and time to step outside their everyday lives and experience serious learning in a fun and informal atmosphere. I work professionally with Museums, Schools and with volunteer re-enactment groups.

Hello! My name is Lucia.
I am a woman with wide interests and experience, and always looking for new challenges and learning opportunities!

I started experiments with the construction of coracles and other boats about twenty years ago.

From 1998, Wiel is director of Oculare a Dutch organisation organising cultural and historic events mainly about the history of medicine.
Wiel is also medieval surgeon in Archeological Open Air Museum Archeon since 2003, were he did two medieval medical archaeological reconstructions.

Currently doing a PhD at the Faculty of Archaeology, Leiden University.

I am a Dutch national but live in Italy since 1983 and since 1994 in Rome. I have always been attracted to history and archaeology in general but concentrate on Roman history.
