Interuniversity Research Centre for The Study and Promotion of Prehistoric Cultures Technologies and Landscapes
The University of Siena, the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and the University of Tromsø (NO) signed an agreement for the establishment and operation of an Interuniversity Research Center for the study and promotion of Prehistoric cultures, technologies and landscapes - CRISP. The three Universities are involved in research activities related to Prehistory and they all are interested in study methodology based on Spatial analysis in archaeology, Experimental archaeology, Anthropology and Ethnography and diffusion of scientific knowledge by means of musealisation.

BA (hons) Archaeology, MSc Osteology, Paleopathology & Funerary Archaeology, FHEA.
I started experiments with the construction of coracles and other boats about twenty years ago.
Involved in experimental archaeology for the past 12 years, specialising in investigating and demonstrating prehistoric metallurgy of the Bronze and Iron Age. I regularly give public demonstrations and teach courses in smelting (copper, tin, iron, lead) and casting (copper, bronze).
I am a PhD student at University Paul Valéry - Montpellier III (France). My current research focus on spatial organization of western Mediterranean (South France and Italy) Late Neolithic / Early Bronze Age settlements from a geoarchaeological point of view (in particular soil micromorphology).
